Lola joined the network in July of 2016. Years prior, Lola served as the Assistant Principal and then Principal of Eaton Park Elementary. The administrative experience gained at Eaton Park along with the previous 16 years of teaching and working with before/after school programs in Lafayette parish more than prepared Lola for her current role as Supervisor of Early Childhood. Lola earned a Bachelor's of Elementary Education (Grds 1-8) with Kindergarten Certification from USL in 1994, and later returned to UL Lafayette to earn her Master's in Educational Leaderships in 2010. Lola is married to Alfred John Thomas and has been blessed to share 4 adult children, Vylena, Denise, John, and Kevin along with 10 grandchildren. Lola's personal philosophy and passion for teaching and learning stems from the belief that all children deserve the best education possible to grow into thriving, productive adults.
